Some organizations have shifted to referring to it instead as Autism Acceptance Month in order to better align with these goals.
What is World Autism Awareness Day?

National Autism Awareness Month is celebrated yearly in April. Since global Autism Awareness Day is celebrated April 2nd, it made sense to have April as a dedicated awareness month.
