He says they hurtFor being “sensoryfriendly” why are the seems so stiff and so prominent. My son has many sensory issues and I would have thought these would have more sensory friendly for the clothing aspect as well. Not to mention the big tag that comes on it..would have been happier with a card with washing instructions. These should have been better for “sensory “ sleevesRead MoreFun and Function Response:Hi Colane, I'm sorry that these were uncomfortable for your son. A better option for him would probably be our long sleeved Hug Tee. They provide compression and are super soft. All the best, Devorah, Fun and Function CSBest for bigger kids not small childrenI bought these for my 6 year old who hand bites, and was looking for an alternative to the SPIO more expensive glove. These didn't provide enough sensory input as they were too loose around his hand. His occupational therapist said its not tight enough,I read and wish I had sooner, that it's successful with 8/9 year olds. So it's back to the $60 glove for us.Read MoresleevesMy son really likes these. Answered QuestionsWould these sleeves have a calming effect on a child who has trouble with sensory-seeking/crashing behaviors when on the playground (e.g. to help him keep his hands to himself by providing proprioceptive input)? Or are they mainly recommended for children with writing? How "thick" of an arm does the child need for these to work properly? I assume they need to fit rather snug to provide support. My son is relatively skinny... how thing is too thin?Chanelle G. / Jun 4, 2016The Sensory Sleeves are not designed for biting. They are made to give sensory input and other such benefits.
