Subtle Style for Older Kids, Teens and Adults
Our founder and occupational therapist Aviva couldn’t find a weighted compression vest for kids, so she designed her own. This vest was our first Fun and Function product and it’s still one of our top sellers. It’s like a reassuring hug, perfect for helping to calm down, focus or cope with sensory overload. The steady proprioceptive input and compression around the trunk are especially soothing for those with sensory challenges. With stretchy neoprene for a snug, comfy fit and the discreet black design, older kids even ask to wear it.
- Provides proprioceptive feedback to help focus and self-regulate
- Hug-like compression encourages calm and feeling of security
- Supports kids and adults with ADHD, sensory integration disorder or autism
- Made by Fun and Function
- Ages 10 - Adult
Includes 2 lbs. of weight: four 1/4 lb. weights and two 1/2 lb. weights. Additional weights sold separately (see accessories). Weights are safely positioned in pockets inside the vest and can be added or removed. Learn about the calming benefits of weights and compression.

ThanksJoan / Feb 1, 2017The best way to measure the sizing is to use this size chart: https://funandfunction.com/size-charts/weighted-compression-vests-black. Every child is different. It is best that you work with the OT. If there's no OT, then try using it during work times, transition times or a challenging task. Then 20-30 minutes later, take it off.Adina Kuhnreich, Customer Service / Feb 2, 2017Do any weights come with the vest when you order, if so what weights? Or do you need to order them separately? My 3 year old can't sit still. He also have a hard time transitioning. Can I use this vest on him with and without weights?Margaret Dominguez / Jul 13, 2016Our vests don't slip over the head because they have velcro on the sides to adjust the compression and fit for the wearer. The Weighted Compression Vests and Pressure Mesh Vest have no zippers, snaps, etc. but the sides and shoulders allow you to adjust the vest if needed.Adina Kuhnreich, Customer Service / Jul 17, 2016Priscilla Velasquez / Jun 22, 2016We have a blue size chart link in the middle of the product page for each of our vests. Here is the link to the size chart: https://funandfunction.com/weighted-compression-vest.htmlAdina Kuhnreich, Customer Service / May 10, 2016Do you ship to Canada and my son is 4 would I get the Small or XS? I just don't want him to outgrow it too soon.Viviana Marinacci / Apr 6, 2016We ship most of our items, including the Weighted Compression Vest, to Canada with a shipping cost. (Items with a 'calculate shipping' icon next to them can't be shipped internationally.) For the sizing, The XS vest is for ages 2-5, but it is still recommended to use the size chart to get the correct fit for your child. It's important for the vest to last for a while, but you still want to make sure it fits well now so he can get the maximum benefit from the vest.
