Therapist PickGreat for sensory fun, especially for older kids. My kids like to pretend they are a banana, blueberry or another inanimate object.
To measure properly for size, measure from the child’s shoulder to the floor and order the closest size.

fanatically happyMy son is fanatically happy with the space sack. It is exactly what we hoped it would be.Read MoreNot true to sizingI bought this for my autistic grandson and bought the size that was recommended on the website. He is almost 8 and after measuring him from shoulder to foot it says the correct size would be a medium, but this is not correct size. A large would be the correct size so I suggest if your interested go up a size for the correct comfort. My grandson gets very angry in this sack because of the large opening for the head so getting him to calm down is not happening for him. I am sad for getting the wrong size, the wrong item and the fact he gets so angry as this was not my intention.Read MoreGreat Product!I purchased two Space Explorers, a large for my nephew and a XL for my daughter. Well made, loads of fun, helps him calm down too.Read MoreA sensory play must have.I bought this product for my little guy about 2 months ago who has recently been diagnosed with autism after his OT told me that he seems to have low sensory processing and suggested getting a big piece of Lycra to wrap around him to help calm him down. In my search for items to help put more pressure on him I came across the space explorer suit (my son calls it his cheetah), the price wasn't much more than a yard of Lycra so I decided to give it a try. I started out by putting it on him and helping him with some basic aerobic stretches and he also immediately like running and jumping in it. Now whenever he gets upset he goes and gets it out of the drawer we keep it in and asks for help. This has been such a great tool to help him calm down and also to provide him with some heavy work exercises when he gets overly hyper. I would recommend to anyone looking for a product that adds a little more pressure and resistance to their childs play time.Read More

Looking for at the hug and space explores -Something with resistance to give that an outlet she needs and to be able to calm her body as a result of using it. Which would you suggest based on size and use?Jill k / Dec 5, 2016The Hug Sleeping Bag is a wonderful way to have deep pressure during nap time and in the night to provide calm and relaxation. The Space Explorers are lots of fun and provide much sensory input during the day, play time, etc. We can discuss the different options available with you. My kids are leaning towards the sleeping bag because they want the option of sleeping in it, but ai feel like the other two look way more stretchy and fun. Please compare/contrast these so I can have a better understanding of which to order. Thank you.Linda Brooksbank / Jul 18, 2016All three are nice and stretchy, provide deep calming pressure and allow for resistance and heavy workout. The Space Explorer has several size options and can be used standing or sitting or lying down. You can choose a cool animal print or a solid color. The Sensory Sack and Hug Sleeping Bag are one size fits all, and can be used sitting or lying down. Of course, the Sleeping bag can be used for both sleeping and play, while the others are not for night-time sleep. All are lightweight and fold easily for travel sensory breaks wherever and whenever!Adina Kuhnreich, Customer Service / Jul 20, 2016Daisy / Mar 29, 2016No answers yet. I'm trying to decide which one to get for my 5 year old sensory seeking son with autism.
Christine Polkovitch / Mar 29, 2016Both are similar in that they provide deep pressure and heavy work while moving around. The Space Explorers have different size options and can be used while standing, too. The Transformer Sensory Sack is one size fits all. The Space Explorers are available in animal prints so it allows imagination to go wild!Adina Kuhnreich, Customer Service / Jul 21, 2016
