Huge Difference"This is our second set and we LOVE them. My husband calls them “medically necessary”. We’ve found they make a huge difference in behavior. We not only use this for regular activities but our daughter wears this over her suit for swimming lessons. The swim instructor is amazed at the difference."Read MorePressure Mesh VestI purchased this vest Feb 2, 2014 off Amazon my son was 9, nearly five years later he is now 13 and yes he is small for his age however the size Small I purchased still is too big. I’ve pulled it pass the Velcro attachment onto some of the mesh portion just to get a tight fit, still not tight enough. From the front it appears to be tight and snug eventho it looks too small from the front view but in the back still not tight enough so I purchased the fitted tees. First, the medium which was just a little too big so I then ordered a small which fits very good. However, even wearing together with the fitted tees it is not enough pressure or snug enough fit. I want to order the weighted compression vest but my issue is sizing. The chart may work for most however it does not work for US. I may just have to find a different company.Read MoreFun and Function Response:Hi Karen, We're sorry about the difficulty you've experienced with the vest and tees. We will be in touch by email to figure out what will work best for your son. All the best, Devorah, Fun and Function CSThey make a HUGE difference"We’ve been using your hug shirts and pressure vest with our twins. They make a HUGE difference."Read MoreFound product I was looking for quickly. This vest helps my daughter stay calm and focused. It really helps her on her bus ride to school and on doctors' appts. It is more comfortable for her to wear and she is more willing to wear it as opposed to the weighted vest.Read Morea bit short, but provides pressure needed"The medium vest was too big for my daughter. She's 5'6" with a long petite waist. We settled for the small- which is a bit short, but provides the pressure she needs."Read MoreOccupational TherapistThis is the best compression vest that I have yet to come across! Would recommend this product!Read MoreIt's helping! We love the vest! It helps calm and keep my 3.5 focused on activities. I will say, we ordered an XS, and I wish I would have gone with a S. He is a big 3.5, more like the size of 4.5. But other than that- it's perfect! The mesh is WONDERFUL for our hot hot weather here in SoCal.Read Moreitem looks well made, just too big.item looks nice but was way too big. I consulted with the company over live chat and we agreed upon a size to order. unfortunately it was too big to be effective. I have since ordered a smaller size and will keep the bigger vest for future use. Fun and Function response: Correct sizing is really important for all pressure style products. We are happy to hear the smaller vest is working for you. I measured my daughter very precisely and went by their sizing chart specifically. I got the vest and it is HUGE on her. So much so, that the velcro doesn't even catch on the shoulders OR the sides! I specifically ordered when I did so we'd have this by the time she went back to school after winter break...if I return it now to get another size, it won't be here in time for the start of school. Very disappointed. I had such high hopes after the last compression vest we purchased from here worked so well. Fun and Function response: We really apologize about that! We would like to issue you a return label to send to our product development team to figure how this happened. Please let me know if you would like a new vest or for us to issue you a refund.Read MoreLove itMy kiddo loves this. She asks to put it on and its not to hot for warmer months.Read MoreMaking a huge difference!I purchased this for my 3yr old with sensory processing difficulties- wearing it during the morning at school has helped her relax and enjoy herself so much!Read MoreNot Quite SatisfiedI have an 11-year-old daughter who is very petite. I tried size M first and it was way too big. Fun & Function was extremely nice and helpful in returning it for a size S. I received the size S and it has to be at the very tightest adjustment possible to "hug" my daughter. She has trouble using it as school because she can't get it tight enough. It also does not create enough "hug" for her. So, not satisfied with the mesh vest, but I am going to try a weighted vest and see if that works better. Fun and Function response: We are happy to hear you were satisfied with our customer care! Please check out the size chart on this page for a more accurate idea of which size vest would be most suitable for your daughter - feel free to try out the XS. If you are still not satisfied with the hug/sizing please contact us so that we can arrange an exchange or refund for you.Read MoreStimming Gone!My son, with Autism, had been stimming badly, and seemed to be all over the place. I heard about the meshvest from a friend, and decided to give it a try. the MINUTE I had it fastened on him, he stopped, sat down, and was soooooooooo calm. With the help of the x shaped chewy, the rubber brush thing, and now this vest, I know our days will be less overstimulated, happier, calmer, and run smoother!Read MoreSo Comfortable! My 6-year-old son just loves this vest! I love how the material is "breathable" so he feels comfortable wearing it during the summer.Read MorePressure Mesh VestWe won one of these mesh pressure vest as part of a contest they did on Facebook. My son is 5 1/2 years old and has Asperger's and he's a very hot natured kiddo. In the summer here, temperatures soar into the 100's and higher, so getting a mesh vest has been a Godsend. His usual weighted compression vest is very thick and, while we love it, it makes him sweaty in the winter months, so the summer it's just unbearable for him. So unbearable, he refuses to wear it even when he needs it. This mesh pressure vest is very durable and sturdy, but cool and breezy. It fits him perfectly, even though he's small for his size, and he actually could wear it outside in the high temps. We are so thankful we got a chance to get this vest and look forward to using it for all those hot days in his future.Read MorePressure Mesh VestMy son was gifted this Pressure Mesh Vest from Fun and Function this summer. My son really enjoys his vest when he is craving deep pressure. We've had the pressure tees before, but this vest works so much better. My favorite aspect of the vest is its fabric - mesh! In the summer in Texas, this vest is amazing. If he needs to wear it, he can still be as active as he needs to be while wearing it and not become over heated. This vest is also very easy to get on and off. I love it's design and highly recommend this vest for your child.Read MorePressure Mesh VestIt was suggested to us by an OT that we look into getting a pressure vest for our son. We were thrilled to find that Fun and Function had a vest that not only provided deep pressure, but also provided the mesh support that would make wearing the vest in the south possible. The vest can be worn all day, but we use it most during intensive therapy to provide the sensory input that our son needs to maintain focus. Pressure is an effective tool for helping children with sensory processing challenges, and the vest ensures that our son pays attention when needed. We want him to get the most out of therapy and with this vest, he does. The Fun and Function mesh vest is also machine washable.Read MorePressure Mesh VestMy 4 year old has Sensory Processing Issues. She has an especially difficult time calming down after stimulating activities. We were super excited to try this vest out. We call it her hugging vest and she knows it is to help calm her down. It is made especially well and since it is mesh it is extremely cool temperature wise to wear. No extra sweating with this vest. Easy to put on and a great fit. After we put it on my daughter we sit and talk while she does a quiet activity. It is really great. It gives her a gentle "hug" which helps give my daughter a calming feeling. A great vest and I would highly recommend it.Read More
Answered QuestionsWould this mesh vest be too scratchy to wear directly on skin, as a bottom layer underneath school uniform?Margaret Dominguez / Jul 13, 2016Our vests don't slip over the head because they have velcro on the sides to adjust the compression and fit for the wearer. The Weighted Compression Vests and Pressure Mesh Vest have no zippers, snaps, etc. but the sides and shoulders allow you to adjust the vest if needed.Adina Kuhnreich, Customer Service / Jul 17, 2016Priscilla Velasquez / Jun 22, 2016We have a blue size chart link in the middle of the product page for each of our vests.
